Favorite Blog Posts October 09

A friend asked how I decide which blog posts are “favorites” for the month. Well…it is all very unscientific and it is all about me. I look at the list of posts in a Google reader, read the ones that seem interesting, and if they provoke some kind of positive reaction in me, they go on this list. The reaction might be something as lofty and intelligent as, “Oh wow.” Or maybe, “Cool!” So these posts have wow-ness or cool-ness (according to me on a particular day). I like easy reading (which comes from hard writing), and posts which offer a different perspective, or tell me something I didn’t know, or remind me of something I did know, or make me smile.

Enough from me. Enjoy reading these:
